Today was my 6-week postpartum check-up. It is actually seven weeks, but six weeks was New Year's Eve, so we just scheduled it for this week instead. Rita says all is well. I am all healed up and everything looked normal. I got a Tetanus shot with the Pertussis (Whooping Cough) vaccine since Whooping Cough has made a recent comeback and apparently most infants get it from their mothers. I also had blood drawn to re-check my Thyroid since I've had Hypothyroidism in the past. My weight is almost back to pre-pregnancy (4 lbs to go) and I am feeling good, although I can barely wait for spring time when I can get back outside!
