We're back! Fishing at the Lakehouse

We're baaaaack!  Just needed to take a little break. We've been having fun though! Lots of exciting stuff going on at the Jennings household and I'll do my best to update you over the next few weeks with pictures and posts on what we've been up to!

We headed up to my family's lakehouse for a little getaway and some fishing. The day we took Gavin fishing started out cold, but sunny. It warmed up later in the day, but not so warm that we didn't still want our sweatshirts handy, just warm enough to take our hats off. This was the first time we had actually slept overnight at the lakehouse and it went relatively well I guess. Gavin decided to sleep on the floor in the room we were sleeping in rather than in a room of his own and that didn't surprise me. He wanted to be close to us. What did surprise me was that he chose to sleep in the closet (there are no doors on the closet), so he had about a 2-foot wide sleeping space and I think he was a little cramped. He woke up during the night and ended up getting into bed with us. The daytime was much more enjoyable. Gavin loved fishing, but his favorite thing to do at the lakehouse is play on the beach. We have a really nice beach, full of lots of interesting pebbles and rocks to collect, dig in, stack, and skip across the water.

It was a beautiful day and we can't wait for our next trip up there. Gavin asks all the time when he can go fishing again.

Hey look, I read it! :) I think the closet thing was Cliff's idea because he told him it was like having his own room.

You forgot to share that I kicked your bitts at Farkle. ;)
