Our Day in the Sun

.
January 10th and 55 degrees in Wisconsin...

So...  what do you do?

Play outside, of course!

This kid thought it was the perfect day to roll around on some cable spools we have sitting around. He is a tough guy and tipped them up himself, rolled them to where he wanted them, and then bravely attempted doing a barrel-roll walk on them! You can just about see about how well that went!

It was my "stay home day" as Gavin calls it, and I also had my nephew Collin for the day.

The hardest part about spending the day with those two spirited toddlers was having to go inside for lunch! It was such an amazingly beautiful, sunny day, I could have stayed out there all day!

Today, a week later, the high was 12 degrees. I miss last week already!

I LOVE snow... I love ice skating, winter walks in the snow-covered woods, sledding, downhill skiing, hot cocoa, and warm fires. I can't wait to take my new snow shoes out for a trek... but I would have been okay with 55 degrees in January for a little bit longer...

"Spirited" is definitely the right word to describe those two kiddos. :)
