One Month

It's been a month since I last posted on the blog. I know, a whole month. Truth be told, I considered blogging a couple of days ago, but then decided to wait until today, just because that would mean I took a whole month off of blogging. I thought it would be good for me to just enjoy our activities without thinking of everything in terms of how I was going to blog about it. Turns out, it didn't make a difference since I still planned on blogging about it all, just not right away - so it in fact may have stressed me out a little... trying to remember the little details that made the activity or day special. Trying to think up funny ways to write about something mundane, etc. I even wrote a post in my head about discovering a wasp nest in Gavin's plastic outdoor play structure! That's when it really hit me - do people even care?

So, I ask you... what do you want to read about? Do you want to read about Gavin and how he is growing and changing and the funny things he says? Do you want a general idea of what we've been up to as a family? Do you want to know what strange things I wonder and think about and ponder? Do you just want pictures? Pictures of Gavin? Pictures of life? Artistic pictures? (okay - can't promise that one)

Well, I have approximately eight HUNDRED photos from the past month (and no, I am not exaggerating), so I need approximately one hundred hours to actually sort through them and decide what I want to share here, what I need to edit, etc. (one hundred hours might be a slight exaggeration, but only slight). For now, here are just a few little tiny glimpses into what we've been up to...

A spur-of-the-moment evening trip to one of our favorite parks with a breathtaking waterfall.

A kayak trip down a quiet wooded canal near Brainerd. (This isn't my new kayak, but I did get one!)

Lots and lots and lots of time playing in the sand.

Just blog about whatever pops up in your mind and makes it through your fingers to the keyboard. I absolutely LOVE reading your blog. It's like a book that I can easily just pick up and ready a couple pages and still get work done:)
