Tropical Tuesday at Daycare

A few weeks ago, our daycare provider told us that they would be having a “tropical day” at daycare and that the kids were welcome to dress in tropical attire and she would turn up the heat in the house to make it feel tropical. We dressed Gavin in a tropical print shirt and sent along his safari hat, sunglasses, and shorts. He didn’t end up wearing the hat, sunglasses, or shorts at daycare, but we did take some pictures at home of him in his hat & sunglasses just for fun! Daycare was all decorated with colored streamers hanging in the doorways and flower cutouts adorning the walls and doors. It really was tropical-looking! For an extra fun activity, Jo put a big bib on each of the kids (Gavin got a big t-shirt instead because the bibs were too big for him) and she gave them each a big old pile of messy, fluffy, fun shaving cream to play with! The kids enjoyed the opportunity to make a mess! Cliff even made up a song about Tropical Day and sang it on the way to daycare. Tropical Tuesday might have to become a recurring event! If only we could remember the words to the song now!

Update from Cliff:
Tropical Tuesday, Tropical Tuesday, where all the girls with grass skirts come to play, Tropical Tuesday, Tropical Tuesday!
