Our Little Helper

Gavin's a great help around the house. He loves to help unload the dishwasher, do laundry, etc. He isn't as good at putting things away as he is at taking them out, but he's getting there.

Look, he already does the laundry all by himself.

Laundry commentary by Gavin Jennings:

First, I take the laundry out of the hamper.

I sort it into piles on the floor.

Ooh, it's stinky! I make a funny stinky-face as I put the dirty laundry into the washing machine.

I put the dirty clothes into the washing machine.

I make sure the clothes are all the way inside the washer. Whew, this is a dirty job!

When the clothes are dry, I take them out of the dryer and put them into the laundry basket.

I check to make sure I got all of them!

Then I tell Momma "I'm all done! What's next?"

He sure looks like a big helper, doesn't he?

Now, here is how the laundry really goes!

That makes me laugh! He is growing up, but it might be a couple of years before he figures out laundry. He can't reach the dials yet!
